Hello Kitty Shotgun

Note: Sanrio legal counsel has contacted me because they realize that their fans are not bright enough to know what is an official Sanrio product and what is not. They didn’t feel that this would be a problem until the fans started contacting them directly, and they soon realized how painful it was to actually have to converse with a fanatic, and not even they had the patience to actually do this. As a result, they sent out a notice to me begging for me to take down my posts about guns that had the evil feline on them just so they didn’t have to ever correspond with the fanatics again. When I explained that they brought it on themselves, they pleaded that I spare them the torture that they inflict on me on a daily basis and asked me to post the following, Since I actually have a conscience, here is what they have to say:

Sanrio® has informed us that Sanrio is not involved in the manufacture or sale of Hello Kitty guns or weapons, and does not allow Hello Kitty® to be used to market guns or weapons. The items shown in this post are either digitally fabricated images or were custom-decorated without Sanrio’s permission. Sanrio alleges that creating false digitized images of Hello Kitty guns or weapons, or custom-decorating a real gun or weapon with Hello Kitty art, infringes Sanrio’s copyrights and trademarks, and may violate criminal laws.

And onto the original post…

I guess with all the other types of Hello Kitty guns that are out there, it shouldn’t be a surprise that there is also a Hello Kitty shotgun (with Hello Kitty shotgun shells and other various Hello Kitty bullets as well…)

Hello Kitty shotgun

This, of course, is the natural expansion of Hello Kitty into all things gun related (which, ironically, is a perfect fit for the evil feline since — except for a few delusional fanatics — we all know she is the harbinger of death and destruction across the earth). Since she already has military style guns Hello Kittified, it only made sense to go after all the good old boys with shotguns in their pickup trucks.

Can you really imagine anything scarier than a redneck in the back of his pickup with a six pack of beer and a Hello Kitty shotgun? I thought not, and that is why you can join me in having Hello Kitty Hellish nightmares of that image for the rest of the month…

Sent in by debbie who really should have to suffer military (and hometown redneck) torture for thinking even for a moment that sending me this photo could be a good idea…

  1. I now have a mental image of a Redneck in HK dungarees! It’s more funny than disturbing though, well unless he’s armed with the HK shotgun, drinking HK beer, and puffing an HK cigarette!

  2. You can’t use it for hunting because the colors aren’t exactly camouflauge. You can’t use it in the commision of a crime because the victim will laugh.

    Yet another useless HK product!

  3. I think it’s cute, but then I’m a girl. However, I’d rip that feathery thing off cuz it could clog something. It really would be perfect for home protection, because the robber would think it to be a toy. >:D

  4. That’s disturbing…. just goes to show that you really can get anything as long as you look hard enough for it.

I feel for the owner of that gun… they’re completely stupid and without any morals.

  7. hey, look at it this way. if you live some where kittified, you can use it to end the hello kitty mess called life… or not.

  8. I think the freakiest part of it is the bullets: I mean, a gun, ok, we’re slowly getting used to it (after all, you have to be quite disturbed to love hello kitty, so it fits), but bullets? Why care with putting hello kitty’s face on such small things? Come on, it’s so quickly used… those guys are disturbingly fanatic. Help!

  9. the only thing i can support being hello kittified in the shooting guns arena would be targets, hell i’d pay the rediculous price it’d cost to shoot the crap out of hello kittys face

  10. Would anyone other then me, love to have this, just so they could be like “Bwaha, I have a hello kitty shotgun” and show off to friends and stuff? (I think it’s funny)

  11. why…oh why!!!!!!!!

And HK bullets?????? what the hell is that? Another useless HK think created.
Maybe it’s time to do something HK related that is useful, such as….I don’t know
HK Psychiatrists, who would of course be specialised in curing HK fanatics who thinks HK has to be on every single item you own.

  12. Well, a lot of guns are bought by men to commit suicide with. I can’t think of any better send off to a literal Hello Kitty Hell than Blasting your head off with a Hello Kitty Shotgun.

Nothing Says “Goodbye Cruel World” quite like Hello Kitty does.

What next? Hello Kitty Cyanide Capsules? Hello Kitty Koolaid?

  14. just wondering but who the heck would use this thing? I don’t think any redneck around here would dare be caught using these things.

Just to say that either Sanrio is losing revenue and trying to expand their customer base or they just love making too many things. I mean come on, who wants a gun with a fuzzy handle?

  15. I agree about the feathers, they get in the way of the scope, if there is one buried under there…
I could not use this, I would be laughed out of the shooting range…then banned for life for something this stupid looking…

  16. The misapplication of the Second Amendment has gone too far (but that happened years ago anyway). If anyone’s at all dubious, check what the whole of the 2nd says, rather than just the usually quoted part.

  17. @Kitteh!!: I was being funny (well trying to be, at least…)

@Alfred: please don’t say things like that and get me excited!

I don’t pay attention to any ammendment other than the 5th 🙂 It’s the only one I need since I do whatever the Hello Kitty Hell I want anyway! 😉

  18. MHK, you don’t even acknowledge the 21st amendment? 😉

Anyway, my point about the second was that it gives US citizens the “right to bear arms as part of a militia, in defence of the Union”. It is not, despite the claims of the NRA, a blanket right to own and use anything from a Derringer to an M-60!

  19. I support the the 21st (and all the rest)… My uncle is a card carrying member of the NRA… and the Texas Militia… and border patrol (don’t go there)…
I’ve known how to shoot a gun since I was little…
I’m just not one of those people who shout out the amendments as a defence to everything I do, just the 5th, so I can’t incriminate myself 🙂

  20. MHK, all the amendments, even the 18th? 😉

I don’t have an issue with properly trained etc and reasonably sensible people having guns; just with the use of a law that was intended to allow the formation of a citizen’s militia in a time when few if any nations maintained a large standing army as a justification for allowing pretty much anyone to write a cheque and buy an assault rifle!

“Me”, I agree that those are streamline tips, and the cartridge case is larger bore than the bullet, which is certainly typical of a rifle or machinegun (or cannon) round, but look at the differences in sizes. They’re not all for the same gun, so why assume that any of them are for that gun? The gun itself looks to me like a pump-action shotgun.

  21. i like it. my husband is in the army and thinks (and i agree to a certain extent) that it would be a good idea for both of us to have our conceal-carry permits. he wants it b/c he’s military and likes blowing up/shooting stuff. i want it to protect my home while he’s away. and yes, i want this shot gun. don’t EVER make fun of ANYONE with a shot gun. they just may shoot you with it. and EVERYONE knows that shot guns are pretty badass. anyone that came near me if i owned that thing would be 1) humilated b/c they got shot by a girl and 2) humiliated b/c they got shot by a girl with a hello kitty shot gun. ahh yes…sweet, sweet hello kitty revenge. XD

  24. she just isn’t for lil girls anymore. she’s cute and her longtime fans have grown up as has she. so it stands to reason, that her grown up fans want to play with her still, but on their own terms. this shotgun lets them do that. it would also be a cute way to get parents to teach their daughters gun safety and how to shoot. EVERYONE WINS! XD

  28. so weird- i came across this site a while back & ended up on the post with the assault rifle- to which i left a comment asking whether the XM8 came with Hello Kitty head-shaped bullets that would leave hello kitty shaped scars… and now, to my non-surprise, i came back to this site & looked around a little more & came across….a shotgun with none other than hello kitty bullets. Love it. and i love the fluffy pink fur even more. I wish that a massive amount of pink glitter shoots out of it with the bullets- how demeaning would it be to get laid out by a pink puffy fur adorned-glitter blasting-hello kitty bullet shooting-gun-wielding bad bitch. hehe

  29. And here for the longest time I had been saying the only reason I don’t own a gun is because they don’t make hello kitty guns yet! Wow thanks!

  30. I see Sanrio is now making things for the grown up HK girl. But I must say, there’s something demeaning and surreal about being shot with a HK gun and bullets. And I imagine it is one way for a woman not to have anyone borrow or use her stuff. heh!
There’s either irony, sarcasm or something I can’t identify about HK guns and bullets. I think Dali would have liked it.

  31. I saw an entry saying something along the lines of “you might as well shoot me with the hello kitty shotgun.” I thought you were kidding about the shotgun… but you’re not… and that’s frightening.
