There are two truths about Hello Kitty: She’ll piggy back on anything that she thinks will sell her brand and go anywhere to do it. It is because of this truth that it is no surprise (although still stomach churning) that the evil feline has found her way to Burning Man in the form of Buddha (never say that Hello Kitty discriminates against religions). I guess Burning Man is now off my lists of events to attend…

Umm, that’s Kali, not Buddha.
//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kali
Looks like it’s supposed to be more Shiva/Ganseh than Buddha. I’ve never seen a Buddha with six arms.
OMG that is to funny.
Liz is rite it’s Vishnu not budda
the many armed deity is a hindu convention. portrayals of the buddha are often very stylized, but never supernatural.
Regardless of what deity this depicts, I have to simply ask “why? Just… Why?!”
I WANT THAT!
Sacrilege.
I’m pretty sure it’s a Hindu god, not a Buddha. Whatever it is I totally want it.
Did anyone notice the “donation box” for the jewerly?
Definitely not Buddha
someone would actually not attend something because there is a hello kitty statue there in the form of Vishnu? By the way, you do know hello kitty is from Japan, right?
