Eyeshadow

The thing that is so annoying with Hello Kitty fanatics is that they take things too literally. Most people who buy makeup use it as it is supposed to be used. Not Hello Kitty fanatics. When a Hello Kitty fanatic buys Hello Kitty makeup, they think that they are actually supposed to draw a Hello Kitty with it:

Of course, this is infinitely better than the Hello Kitty contacts, but that simply proves that the world is in a sad state when it’s possible to name something that is worse than this. My wife’s bright idea? Combine the Hello Kitty eyeshadow with the Hello Kitty contacts so that Hello Kitty will be staring at you 24/7 — now that’s truly the definition of Hello Kitty Hell…

Update: You knew that it wouldn’t stop with one…

  1. Regardless of my feelings about HK marketting tat, I have to admire the patience and artistry that went into producing this drawing.

  2. wow…
that’s scary someone would actually spend a hour or more drawing on their own or someones else eyelid and then have the thing wiped off in about 3 to 6 hours.

  3. Aw, that’s adorable(:
But, that musta took forever, seriously, I’d never do that just to have it wiped off later.

  4. It’s scary, that someone will put so much time and effort into the drawing, yet not even make it HK. I suppose that makes it a very little better, though not enough.

  5. I don’t even remember how I stumbled on your blog this morning, but I’ve been reading it for the past half hour. It’s hilarious! I really couldn’t care less about HK either way, but I love the intensity of the love/hate for HK the readers here have. I needed a laugh today of all days as my mother is suffering from cancer and I just found out a childhood friend was killed in the line of duty yesterday. What could have been a miserable morning turned into plenty of giggling. I needed something utterly absurd to laugh at. Thanks.

  6. I am so shocked and upset by all this macabre, pseudo- (or blatantly) sexual Hello Kitty paraphernalia. That is so wrong… associating baby toys with adult sexuality, and fetishizing the “little girl” image.

HK is NOT sexy! It’s a child’s toy. Mickey Mouse will always have a special place in my heart, but I’m not about to start sticking him on condoms, lingerie, and sex toys.

    BLEGH.

  7. Looks easy enough to undertake, 10 minutes top as the outlines are done with an eyeliner pencil. Easy enough. Just has to be asked why? I can understand if its for a little girl playing at make-up, but why an adult? So many more designs that can be done, I’d suggest twining flowers a la art nourveau, out onto the temple.

    This is just…sad.

  8. I can’t believe that you would say bad things about something that took a lot of time and effort to create. Women love Hello Kitty and will spend a lot of time to make her a part of their life. When they do, they are cute, adorable and share the love that Hello Kitty has with everybody. The make-up is excellent and something that any girl would want.

I suppose that you think women should not wear any make-up at all? Just because you fail to see the beauty that this brings out doesn’t mean that you have to be so harsh about it. You show your complete lack of understanding about Hello Kitty, women and fashion make-up with this post and prove that you have no right to be making any type of comments about Hello Kitty.

  9. This make-up truly is a piece of art! It’s wonderful.

Plus, since you don’t approve of Helly Kitty contacts, tattoos, etc., how should Hello Kitty be worn, heh?

  10. Yuck! Why would you take so much time and effort to make something that doesn’t even look good? I personally think that is way too much makeup anyways, and the hello kitty (which isn’t even HK, it’s her sis) just makes it look even worse.

  11. That looks more like Mimi (HK’s sister) then HK. Maybe she did it in the mirror and reversed the sides by accident? HK’s bow is on the right, Mimi’s is on the left. ;]

  12. Having just discovered this site an hour or so ago, I’ve looked at quite a few of the photos on this site. I now know that there is no God, and your wife is one of many agents of Satan trying to drag us all into a horrifying, pink, fuzzy hell. You, good sir, have all of my sympathy.

  15. oh wow….eyeliner smudges easily so you either have to be pretty obsessed w/ hello kitty, redraw it every 10 minutes, or spend a ridiculously large amount of money to buy special sealers to put over all of that…..i think its kinda pointless…..

That’s just disturbing, hello kitty is a fictional character O_o

“The make-up is excellent and something that any girl would want.”
True, it must’ve taken a long time to do that and it does resemble Hello Kitty quite well, but it is STILL disturbing and I would not want to have THAT on my face.

“I suppose that you think women should not wear any make-up at all?”
That’s not what he said /pointdexter

  19. Actually this make up was done by a girl who does tutorials on Youtube, and the make up wasn’t from the hello kitty collection or anything like that.
She’s also done ninja turtles, mario, & rainbow brite inspired make up.
She only does it for fun, not to wear in public.
    Just thought I’d clarify.
