As if there weren’t already 100 reasons not to attend the Three Apples Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary gala torture chamber, the fact that Paris Hilton showed up pretty much ensured that the whole event would have been unbearably painful:
In yet another example that this Hello Kitty 35th anniversary celebration has gone way past the point of sanity, Sanrio invited Portuguese fashion designer Maria Gambina to create a unique fashion piece – the results being the Hello Kitty burqa:
When I get things like this in my email box, I fear that there really is no escaping Hello Kitty Hell (or any hope for the human race). The whole Hello Kitty tattoo thing has gotten so bad that tattoo shops are now celebrating the evil feline’s 35th anniversary by having Hello Kitty discount tattoo promotions. Seriously…

Even though it is quite clear that Hello Kitty and art don’t mix, that doesn’t stop the evil feline from trying to be a part of the art world. Apparently Sanrio is throwing a Hello Kitty art show called Three Apples at the Royal/T Cafe in the Los Angeles area from Oct 23 to Nov 15 in honor of Hello Kitty turning 35 years old and they have released a sneak peek at what is going to be there:
The truth finally slips out in a 35th Anniversary Mad Scientist display in Macau. Called Hello Kitty Evolution, we see the way that the evil feline spreads her paws to Kittify one place after another (click on image to enlarge):
I already have plenty of Hello Kitty nightmares to keep me occupied at night, so there is definitely no need for another one like the Hello Kitty doctor’s office:
